Class Warfare – Canadian Style

By Peter Pavarini

I’ve been anxious to write about a seminal event that ultimately defines this miserable era in American history. It may have happened this week. But it occurred in Canada not the United States.

A “Shot” Heard Around the World

Angered by the vaccine mandates imposed by Justin Trudeau’s “pro-worker, liberal government”, thousands of Canadian truckers used the peaceful but highly effective means of blocking roads to make their case. They succeeded in getting international attention just as a ragtag bunch of farmers did in 1775 at the Concord Bridge – “the shot heard around the world”.

The entire episode (which continues to unfold as I write) brought into sharp focus what had remained unclear after two years of COVID hysteria and six years of Trump derangement syndrome. The political divide is no longer just a battle between Left and Right, progressives and conservatives, or even secular vs. Judeo-Christian values. It’s an outright class war by the elites against everybody else.

The Widening Socio-Economic/Political Chasm

The elites have used the phenomenal wealth and power they accumulated during the pandemic to further their global interests while widening the socio-economic/political chasm between them and every other class. In so doing, they have reversed nearly a century of middle-class advancement and made the lowest tiers of society ever more dependent on government largesse. There’s no other way to explain their overwhelming support for forced masking and immunization of the Plebian classes, while they (the Patricians) party maskless in their Super Bowl skyboxes and scoff at the “little people” said to be spreading the virus.

Well, the Canadian truckers (and maybe soon the American truckers) – the working-class backbone of the economy – saw through this charade. They didn’t need peer-reviewed medical studies to debunk the propaganda fed to them by government agencies. They could see the truth with their own eyes. Nor did they need to hire lawyers or lobbyists to challenge the regulatory oppression that had been weighing upon their livelihoods. No, they just stopped driving their 18-wheelers in the midst of the biggest supply chain breakdown in history. That certainly got the attention of Patricians like Justin Trudeau, Krystia Freeland and others who have never before had to wait for their groceries to be delivered.

Doubling Down on Stupid

It’s no surprise that political parties controlled by the elites, after massively alienating their traditional voter bases, have had to double and triple down on their stupidity. Sorry, no matter what you think of the vaccines, having mounted cops trample elderly women is just not a good look. Instigating false flag operations in foreign lands to distract from economic and political woes at home likewise doesn’t fool the Plebes. Telling African-Americans “they ain’t black” unless they vote for a party that destroyed four out of ten black-owned businesses during the pandemic is not likely to attract as many votes in November 2022 as it did in 2020. Inserting millions of undocumented aliens into the US workforce “out of compassion” is unlikely to win much support from hardworking Hispanic-Americans who have been crushed by inflation and job loss.

What Happens to Tyrants

Prime Minister Trudeau, a longtime admirer of China’s authoritarian, one-party rule, will soon learn whether his brutal crackdown on the streets of Ottawa will be remembered as another Tiananmen Square. As an aspiring dictator, he will also see whether, his tenure in office is about to be shortened like it was for Nicolae Ceausescu (executed by firing squad only five days after ordering his security forces to disperse protestors in Bucharest). And, of course, nothing destabilizes a country like double-digit inflation. Argentina’s Juan Peron comes to mind.

The history of liberalism (in the traditional sense of that term) has mostly been about opposition to the rule of elites. But now the Patrician class is determined to steer a course toward full fascism. It’s up to the Plebes to preserve what’s left of our freedoms.

Leading the Way to a Cyborg Utopia

Insulated by their wealth and prestige, global elites see nothing wrong with treating everyone other than themselves as expendable serfs. Because of their obsession with climate change, they’d actually prefer a smaller human footprint on planet Earth. That is, so long as there’s still room for their footprints. If elitists ever believed in the code of “live and let live”, that’s all over. Educated at woke universities and heavily invested in Big Tech and Big Pharma, they believe that they alone are prescient enough to lead the remnants of the human species to some cyborg utopia.

Wokesters like Justin Trudeau imagine themselves as the founders of a New World Order – or Great Reset. However, they reject at their peril what history tells us about every tyrant.

All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed, they must rely exclusively on force.”
